Tribal:Pura with Carolena Nericcio and Megha Gavin!
Join DCTribal and the mother of American Tribal Style bellydance Carolena Nericcio and dance partner Megha Gavin for an exciting evening of tribal and fusion belly dance! You may know Carolena as the founder of the legendary troupe FatChanceBellyDance, and without her, belly dance just wouldn't be the same!
Now at the beautiful Atlas Arts Theater, this gala performance will showcase works from some of the region's best performers: Ariel, Naimah, Kaihea, Romka, Gypsy Fusion, Kallisti Tribal, To The Earth, Jenn Hodge of Sammati (performing a rare American Tribal Style solo), Troupe Arabesque, and Shems (performing a fun and funky assayatain - double cane dance)... and Asharah's new experiment in breakcore electronica. Plus, of course, featured performances by Carolena and Megha!
