Decatur House, built in 1818, is one of the oldest sites in Washington, DC, and one of only three remaining residences in the country built by Benjamin Henry Latrobe, the "father of American Architecture." Today a site of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, Decatur House offers tours, exhibits, public programs, and shopping - all just steps from the White House.
